The Indian cricket team is set to embark on another significant tour as they prepare to face off against the West Indies. This time, the tour will feature two Test matches, with Dominica and Trinidad hosting the games next month.
The Cricket West Indies (CWI) board, along with the boards of Barbados, Trinidad, and Guyana, have tentatively agreed upon a schedule that includes six white-ball matches, comprising three One Day Internationals (ODIs) and three Twenty20 Internationals, to be held in Barbados, Trinidad, and Guyana.
Although the exact details of the agreement between the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Cricket West Indies (CWI) are still being worked out, it is expected that the two parties will finalize the agreement during the upcoming World Test Championship (WTC) final in London.
According to Cricbuzz reports, the IND vs WI series is likely to begin on July 12 and conclude on August 13 in the United States. The Indian team is expected to depart for the Caribbean islands on either July 5 or 6, allowing them ample time to prepare for the tour.
This series holds great significance for the Indian team as it presents a perfect opportunity to prepare ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024. Remarkably, this will be the second consecutive year that Team India tours the West Indies, having also visited in July and August last year.

Dream Sports, the promoters of FanCode and the official rights holders for Cricket West Indies bilateral matches, have entered into a sub-license agreement with Viacom18, allowing them to stream the digital content.
Moreover, Dream Sports is currently in talks with the national broadcaster, Prasar Bharati, for securing linear rights. If the deal is finalized, DD Sports will broadcast the WI vs IND on television, maintaining the partnership that was established between the two entities last year.
This collaboration will further enhance the reach of the matches and ensure that cricket fans can enjoy the games through broadcasting channels as well.
