    Pakistan's New Chief Selector

Former Pakistan cricket captain, Inzamam-ul-Haq, is emerging as the front-runner to take on the role of the new Pakistan chief selector for the national team.

This development comes after Zaka Ashraf’s appointment as the chairperson of the Pakistan Cricket Board, leading to a drive for creating a revamped setup for the team.

Inzamam, a seasoned cricketer with a wealth of experience, is being considered a vital addition to the fold to strengthen the national team.

Alongside him, team director Mickey Arthur and head coach Grant Bradburn are also part of the selection committee, but their future in the committee is under review and will soon be communicated to them.

Zaka Ashraf has recently formed a Cricket Technical Committee (CTC), comprising Misbah-ul-Haq, Inzamam-ul-Haq, and Mohammad Hafeez.

The trio has been entrusted with crucial decisions regarding the selection committee’s members and the overall development of Pakistan cricket. As a result, they now hold the authority to determine the future roles of Micky Arthur and Grant Bradburn in this committee.

The potential inclusion of Inzamam-ul-Haq as the chief selector, along with the dynamic CTC, signals a new era of transformation and strategic decision-making for Pakistan cricket.
