On January 23, Monday, KL Rahul, a well-known cricketer, married Bollywood actress Athiya Shetty, his longtime girlfriend. The private wedding took place at Suniel Shetty, the bride’s father Khandala,’s home, Jahaan. Only the couple’s family and a few close friends attended Athiya and Rahul’s private wedding ceremony. On January 22, the pre-wedding activities came to an end.
Due to their hectic schedules, some of Suniel Shetty’s B’town friends and KL Rahul’s cricketing friends missed the big fat wedding.
The couple, KL-Athiya posted their lovely wedding pictures on their respective social media handles along with a caption saying “In your light, I learn how to love…(black heart emoji) Today, with our most loved ones, we got married in the home that’s given us immense joy and serenity. With a heart full of gratitude and love, we seek your blessings on this journey of togetherness.”
KL Rahul-Athiya Shetty Wedding Gifts – Who gave what?
According to reports, due to their commitments to the ODI series, KL Rahul’s close cricketing buddies Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya, and Suryakumar Yadav were unable to attend the wedding. But according to reports, Kohli shocked his close friend, a “motorhead,” by giving him a brand-new BMW car for Rs. 2.70 crore. Former captain MS Dhoni, who skipped the wedding for unspecified reasons, reportedly handed KL Rahul a Kawasaki Ninja Bike worth Rs. 80 Lakh as a wedding present.
Even though they were unable to attend the wedding, superstar Salman Khan and veteran actor Jackie Shroff made sure to send thoughtful wedding gifts to Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul from Suniel Shetty’s circle of Bollywood friends. According to rumours, Salman Khan gave the newlyweds an Audi as a gift.
The list of presents doesn’t stop here, though. Arjun Kapoor bought Athiya a diamond bracelet worth Rs 1.5 crore, and actor Jackie Shroff gave the bride a watch from Chopard Watches valued Rs 30 lakh.
Suniel Shetty and Mana’s gift for KL-Athiya
An interesting update on the bride’s parents Suniel and Mana Shetty’s present for the newlyweds has also surfaced in the rumour mills. According to rumours, the pair gave their newlywed daughter and son-in-law a luxurious flat in the heart of Mumbai, estimated to be valued at over Rs. 50 crore. However, to date, neither KL Rahul nor Athiya Shetty has responded to any of these reports.
