    Excitement is building in the cricket world as the highly anticipated ODI World Cup 2023 approaches, set to take place in India, even though it is still five months away. Cricket enthusiasts and fans are eagerly awaiting the biggest cricket event.

    Adding to the anticipation, Jay Shah, the Secretary of the BCCI, recently made a significant announcement. 

    On Saturday, he confirmed that the schedule and venues for the upcoming ODI World Cup would be announced during the World Test Championship (WTC) final. 

    The final match of the WTC, featuring cricket powerhouses India and Australia, is scheduled to be held from June 7 to 12 at the historic Oval Stadium in London.

    As the countdown to the ODI World Cup continues, all eyes will be on the WTC final, where the unveiling of the tournament’s schedule and venues will take place. 

    “The venues for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 will be decided at a press conference during the ICC World Test Championship Final. The complete schedule for the tournament will also be revealed,” Jay Shah said.  

    Jay Shah further revealed that each BCCI office bearer will be in charge of a particular World Cup venue. The Indian Cricket Board is considering urban areas as potential World Cup host cities.

    As per the ESPNCricinfo report, the ODI 2023 World Cup will take place in India this year from October 5 through November 19. 

    A total of 12 venues, including Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Dharamsala, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Indore, Rajkot, Mumbai, and Trivandrum, are slated to host 48 matches during the World Cup.
