The Punjab cricket team scripted history in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2023 after they posted the highest ever total of 275 runs against Andhra Pradesh. This feat was achieved in Match 24 and there were fireworks in the entire stadium of the JSCA International Stadium Complex.
Opening batter of Punjab, Abhishek Sharma, top-scored with a brilliant knock of 112 runs in just 51 deliveries. His knock was peppered with 9 fours and 9 sixes and he had a blistering strike-rate of 219.61.
Anmolpreet Singh was the second-highest scorer for the Punjab team as he mustered a knock of 87 runs in just 26 balls. There were a total of 9 sixes that came from his blazing blade and it was a top-notch knock, that kept everyone at the edge of their seats.
Even though the Andra Pradesh bowlers took a few wickets, it was total doom and gloom for them. Every bowler had an economy of above 10 and were belted for boundaries, all across the stadium.
