In a big breaking news for the Uganda fans, their cricket team has qualified for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. This is the first time that the team has qualified to the marquee tournament and will be playing in USA and West Indies.
Zimbabwe have failed to qualify for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 and this is a big disappointment for their fans and for their cricketers. Notably, Uganda becomes the 5th African country to participate in the ICC T20 World Cup.
Alongside Uganda, Namibia have also qualified for the T20 World Cup. They had also participated in the previous edition of this tournament in UAE, which took place in 2021.
Uganda has qualified for the T20 World Cup 2024 in the West Indies and the United States of America by winning five of their six games, guaranteeing a top-two finish in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Africa Region Qualifier.
