The 3rd edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) had a riveting finish as Mumbai Indians women lifted their 2nd WPL title and established themselves as the most successful side in this competition.

It was Mumbai Indians women who won the Eliminator by 47 runs and had advanced to the finals of WPL.
In the finals, Mumbai put up a modest total of 149 runs thanks to a fiery knock from skipper Harmanpreet Kaur. She scored 66 runs in 44 deliveries and Nat Sciver-Brunt scored 30 runs in 38 balls.
The Capitals in response, could manage to put up only 141 runs on the board and it was Marizanne Kapp who fought a lone battle as she scored 40 runs in 26 balls. She was eventually dismissed by Nat Sciver-Brunt, who has had a dream tournament in the WPL.
