Overwatch 2 Competitive Points

In Overwatch 2, there are four separate currencies that may be used to purchase cosmetics. Competitive Points or CP are one of these. Only golden weapons in the game that are specific to this currency may be unlocked.

Playing competitive game modes is the only way to obtain Competitive Points. It is a unique currency. If a player accumulates enough Competitive Points, they can all obtain the Golden Gun of their choice. Be aware that it could take some time to unlock all of the game’s similar weapons.

In Overwatch 2, there is no other way to obtain Golden Guns than through the use of Competitive Points. It is also extremely improbable that the developers would provide other ways for players to obtain golden weapon skins. Here’s how to get competitive points in Overwatch 2.

How To Get Competitive Points in Overwatch 2

Only a few methods in the game allow players to earn Competitive Points, including:

  • Only competitive game types for Role Que or Open Que can be won or drawn to provide Competitive Points.
  • It is also important to note that the Overwatch competitive system awards players with Competitive Points for winning matches and somewhat fewer for draws. For each win, players will get 15 CP. For each draw, players will be awarded 5 CP.
  • You won’t get any competitive points if you lose the game.

Amount of CP for each rank

When each season comes to a close, each rank will get the following amount of CP.

  • Bronze: 65 CP
  • Silver: 125 CP
  • Gold: 250 CP
  • Platinum: 500 CP
  • Diamond: 750 CP
  • Master: 1,200 CP
  • Grandmaster: 1,750 CP

As Overwatch 2 needs a new account to win at least 50 unranked matches in order to activate competitive queues, new players may find it challenging to earn CP. The Competitive Mode may be unlocked through Quick Play, and once it is, players can earn CP and spend it to buy premium golden weapon skins.
