England footballing star, Jack Grealish’s house was ransacked by burglars during the Christmas period when he was playing a Premier League 2023-24 game for Manchester City. While he was sweating it out on the football field, burglars tormented his family members and broke into his mansion.
This happened on Wednesday night and police immediately stepped into the action scene via a helicopter. The burglars however, couldn’t be traced back to as he escaped with a lot of cash and valuable items.
“At around 9.50pm on Wednesday December 27 police were called to reports of a burglary. The caller reported that a number of items had been stolen,” the police said in a statement.
“Officers supported by police dogs and National Police Air Service were deployed and searches were conducted in the local area but there was no trace of the suspects.
Jack Grealish was in action for Manchester City during their 1-3 resilience-filled victory against Everton. As per reports, Grealish was informed about this incident shortly after the game ended and he rushed back home to his loved ones.
The 28-year-old took to social media to express his emotions
In an emotional post on social media, the attacking midfielder expressed his emotions after his incident.
“I can’t begin to explain how devastated I am over the burglary that took place at my home a few days ago. “I have had so many amazing experiences and achievements over the last 12 months, but to be honest the best year of my life in football now doesn’t feel like something I can celebrate.”
“The people that commit these terrible crimes have no idea of the damage they cause to people’s lives. I hope they are found and brought to justice so no other family has to go through what we have,” he wrote in the social media post.
Grealish has been playing for Manchester City since 2021 and till date has played 65 games, having scored 11 goals. He has previously represented Aston Villa for 9 years and has played 185 matches for them.
Jack Grealish has also played 35 games for the England football team and is one of the best wingers in the world, presently. He had scored a goal against Iran in the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar, in England’s first game of this World Cup.
He has often been described as “England’s Enigma” and has now been a regular in the international setup for England.
