It was a night peppered with several goals. But it mostly came from one end; from the defending champions of the Indian Super League (ISL). The Nizams once again flexed their dominant muscles and proved to everyone why they are regarded as one of the best teams in ISL.

A score-line of 6-1 and Hyderabad FC reassured all their fans and well-wishers that they are one of the top title contenders. Manolo Marquez’s team however faced stiff competition from NorthEast United FC in the first half.

After being down 0-3, Vincenzo Annese’s team staged a comeback in the form of an Aaron Evans goal. There was a glimmer of hope but it didn’t last very long.

Javier Siverio netted a brace for Hyderabad FC

A barrage of goals came from the Nizams. Javier Siverio netted a brace and grabbed the limelight in Hyderabad. The other goals were scored by Borja Herrera, Odei Onaindia, and Joel Chianese. There was an own goal that came from NorthEast United FC’s Gaurav Bora. In the 80th minute.

It was a bad year-ender for the Highlanders as they were backed to stage another upset win. Notably, Vanesse’s men defeated ATK Mohun Bagan 1-0 in the previous game as they punched above their weight in that game.

Hyderabad FC would be extremely delighted with his exemplary performance from their end. They now move to the top of the table with 28 points under their belt.
