Portugal defeated Denmark 5-2 in a remarkable come-from-behind victory. In a match that was filled with several turns, Portugal kept their nerve, and registered a fabulous victory during Extra-Time. Despite Denmark coming to the clash with a 1-0 lead from the previous leg, it was Cristiano Ronaldo’s fabulous Portuguese side, that have advanced to the top 4.
Germany cruised to the semi-finals after the match with Italy ending with a 3-3 draw. They qualified because of the aggregate score being 5-4.
Spain and Netherlands had a tight finish and Spain won the game 5-4 on penalties. The match went right down to the wire and the fans kept watching the game from the edge of their boxes.
In the 4th and the final quarter, France beat Croatia 5-4 on penalties and grabbed the 4th and the final slot. They are pitted against Spain in the semi-finals and it will be one cracker of a clash.
Spain are the defending champions of the UEFA Nations League and they had beaten Croatia in the finals. Luis de la Fuente and co. are once again sharp favourites to lift the coveted title and script history. Notably, Spain have only won 1 UEFA Nations League trophy so far.
