In honor of the classic puzzle game Tetris’ 40th anniversary, Minecraft has released a fun new addition. In the former Soviet Union on June 6, 1984, Alexey Pajitnov created the title.
Mojang now offers plenty of fun with Tetris through the Bedrock Edition marketplace. Players can explore a world filled with Tetris blocks, block-clearing equipment, and Tetrimonster creatures by downloading the addon.
The news was released on the official website of Minecraft, as well as its many social media accounts. Mojang employee Linn Viberg provided a wealth of information on the add-on.
Fans can anticipate a ton of blocky fun with the Tetris addition, according to the article posted by Linn Viberg. There are many things to enjoy about this downloadable update, including riding Tetris blocks, taming Tetrimonsters, and clearing entire rows of blocks with new tools.
Minecraft x Tetris
In the Tetris addition, fans can engage in the following activities, per the official announcement:
- After a player powers up a Tetrimino Generator, Tetriminos, or Tetris blocks, will fall from the sky onto their Minecraft world.
- Break Tetriminos to obtain additional resources and things, but proceed with caution as broken Tetriminos can also produce Tetrimonsters. Use Tetris blocks to create new structures, or use them to create balloons, light sources, and even furniture.
- Create new tools such as the Hard Drop Claw, which can reach vertically for resources or even be used as a weapon, or the Line Clear Hammer, which can destroy entire lines of blocks at once.
- Tetrimonsters can be ridden, tamed, and fought. Once tamed, these animals can help players in battle.
- Additionally, players can create Tetrimino mounts, which have extraordinarily high jumps. To get the in-game mobs to sing the Tetris theme, make and use the Tetris Conductor.
The marketplace now offers the Tetris add-on for Bedrock Edition for 990 Minecoins, which is equal to $5.99 USD or the local currency in your country.
