IPL 2025 Final RCB

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have booked their place in the IPL 2025 final, igniting hopes among their passionate fanbase of finally lifting their maiden IPL trophy.

Their journey to the summit clash has been marked by dominant performances, strategic brilliance, and a collective hunger to end a long-standing title drought. Here are the three key reasons why RCB are in the IPL 2025 final:

1. Clinical Performance in Qualifier 1

RCB delivered a statement win in Qualifier 1 against Punjab Kings, chasing down a modest target of 102 in just 10 overs and winning by eight wickets.

Phil Salt was the standout performer with a blistering unbeaten 56 off 27 balls, while captain Rajat Patidar provided steady support.

The bowling attack, led by Josh Hazlewood and Suyash Sharma (three wickets each), dismantled Punjab’s batting lineup, restricting them to just 101 runs in 14.1 overs.

This comprehensive victory not only ensured a ticket to the final but also set a new record for the biggest win by balls remaining in IPL playoff history.

2. Consistent Team Contributions and Tactical Depth

RCB’s success this season has not hinged on individual brilliance alone. The team has displayed remarkable consistency, with both the batting and bowling departments firing in unison.

Virat Kohli’s steady starts, Phil Salt’s explosive hitting, and the reliability of the middle order have kept the runs flowing.

On the bowling front, Hazlewood, Yash Dayal, and Suyash Sharma have consistently picked up wickets and maintained pressure on opponents.

The squad’s adaptability and depth were evident throughout the league stage, helping them finish second on the points table and maintain momentum into the playoffs.

3. Momentum and Psychological Advantage

Finishing second in the league stage gave RCB a direct shot at the final through Qualifier 1, a route that has historically favored teams under the current playoff system.

Since 2011, every team finishing second has made it to the final, and RCB have continued that trend this year.

Their ability to handle high-pressure situations, as seen in their dominant playoff display, gives them a psychological edge heading into the final.

The team’s hunger is palpable as they aim for their first IPL title, having reached the final for the fourth time in franchise history.
