CSK vs GT: What if the IPL 2023 Final gets cancelled due to rain?

As the IPL 2023 final approaches, provisions have been made to address potential rain-related disruptions. In order for a result to be possible in the IPL 2023 final, both teams must complete a minimum of five overs each. The cut-off time for a five-overs-per-side match has been set at 12:26 am.

In the event that play cannot begin on the scheduled day due to rain, a reserve day has been allocated for the IPL 2023 final, which is Monday, May 29. If the match has already commenced but cannot be completed on the initial day, it will resume from where it left off on the following day.

If the toss has taken place on an original day but no play is possible, a fresh toss will be conducted on the reserve day. Franchises will also have the opportunity to make changes to their teams in this scenario.

In the circumstance where a five-overs-per-side match is not feasible, a Super Over can be held, with the cut-off time set at 1:20 am.

However, if weather conditions persist and all the aforementioned scenarios are ruled out, the Gujarat Titans will be declared the winners of IPL 2023, as they finished higher than the Chennai Super Kings in the points table during the league stage.
