Gujarat Titans were the first team to get back to training after India and Pakistan came to an ‘understanding’ on Sunday, May 11. The Shubman Gill-led squad hit the ground running that very evening at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) has postponed for a week on 9th May 2025 and we are yet to receive an official word from the Board Of Control For Cricket In India (BCCI). BCCI was supposed to convene for a meeting on Sunday for the final word on IPL 2025.

IPL 2025 has 16 matches remaining out of which 4 playoff games are remaining. 3 teams have been knocked out of the competition and 7 teams are still in the playoff hunt.

Gujarat Titans have become the 1st team to practice together as a unit ahead of IPL 2025, Notably, it is understood that all the 10 franchises have received a directive from BCCI, where it states that they need to convene together as a unit as IPL 2025 is set to kickstart very soon.

“Yes, we have started training. The boys looked sharp, and we are ready to go. Our entire squad stuck around. Only Jos and Gerald, but they will come back as required,” said an official of GT, as quoted by The Times of India.

As per a report by Cricbuzz, the IPL 2022 Champions held an extended net session at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, lasting nearly three hours—from 5:30 PM to 9 PM—confirmed by both the team management and GCA officials. Notably, overseas players like Kagiso Rabada and Sherfane Rutherford were part of the session, along with Indian stars Shubman Gill and Mohammed Siraj.

Gujarat Titans are presently with 8 wins in 11 games

Shubman Gill and co. have been a dominant juggernaut in IPL 2025 and have bagged 8 wins in 11 games. They are on a rampage and have the ability to have a Top 2 finish in IPL 2025.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) presently are in the 2nd position with 8 wins in 11 games. They have an inferior run-rate as compared to Gujarat.

Gujarat’s next match is scheduled against Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.
