IPL 2020 Auction

This year’s IPL 2020 Auction, had a lot of hype around it, as it was filled with surprises. In this year’s Auction, there were around 338 players available, out of which 62 players were bought by the 8 Franchises in total. This year, we also saw Aussie players & new young uncapped players receiving the highest bids in the auction.

This Year, Franchises were highly interested in youngsters like Yashasvi Jaiswal, Virat Singh, Priyam Garg. As these IPL Franchises shelled out crazy amounts of money to get their hands on these new Players. Rajasthan Royals paid ₹ 2.40 Crore for Yashasvi Jaiswal who had a base price of ₹ 20 lakh. Sunrisers Hyderabad paid ₹ 1.90 crores for Virat Singh and Priyam Garg respectively, who had a base price of ₹ 20 Lakh.

Also there were some unexpected shockers that took place during the IPL 2020 Auction like -Kolkata Knight Riders buying Varun Chakravarthy for ₹ 4 Crore, Chennai Super Kings Shelling out a whopping ₹  6.75 Crore for Piyush Chawala. The one of the most shocking moment during this year’s auction was Kings XI Punjab buying Jimmy Neesham for his base price ₹ 50 Lakh, KXIP got one hell of a deal there!
