This time, Bangladeshi swashbuckling opener Litton Das has been bagged by the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) franchise.
One of the most important assets in the Bangladesh cricket team, Litton Das is known for his exceptional cricketing prowess. He can power the team to fiery starts in the powerplay and can also smear the bowlers across the park. Das was snapped at his base price of Rs. 50 lakhs.
This is the first time that the 28-year-old cricketer would be plying his trade for a franchise in the IPL. It will be a huge opportunity for him to make his presence felt in the most popular T20 franchise league in the world.
KKR didn’t have a strong opening pair in IPL 2022 and it kept getting changed and altered. Litton Das could well be a permanent member in the playing XI of KKR.

1. Litton Das is in a red-hot form
Litton Das has been scoring runs consistently for Bangladesh. He recently became the 8th Bangladeshi batter to score 2000 runs after his knock of 70 runs in the 2nd ODI game between Bangladesh and Ireland.
In the 3rd T20I between Bangladesh and England, Litton Das scored 73 runs in just 57 balls and bagged the player of the match award.
With the form Das is in, it will really boost up his confidence coming into the IPL. It will also help the Chandrakant Pandit coached KKR management to give him opportunities in the starting XI of KKR.
2. Knows the conditions well
Litton Das hails from the subcontinent and knows the conditions inside out. He would be comfortable playing in the Indian conditions and would be hoping to make his mark immediately in the cash-rich IPL.
Das is a very good player of spin and would be hoping to maximize during the powerplay for the Purple and Gold Brigade.
