In a big breaking news during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 trade window, Hardik Pandya could come back to Mumbai Indians (MI). As per a report in News18, the two teams are in close discussions with each other for this potential move.

The report also said that 5-time title-winning captain of MI, Rohit Sharma could move to Gujarat Titans (GT). Jofra Archer could also be another potential option in case Rohit Sharma’s move to Gujarat doesn’t materialise.

Notably, Hardik Pandya has played for Gujarat Titans for the past 2 years and has been a highly successful captain. In IPL 2022, Gujarat had lifted the title after beating Rajasthan Royals (RR) and the team had reached the finals of IPL 2023.

The IPL trading window is all set to come to a halt on 26th November 2023. In a big move during this period, Gautam Gambhir has come back to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Gambhir was a part of KKR from IPL 2012 to IPL 2017 and had led the team to 2 titles.

The legendary captain was a part of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) for the past 2 years as their mentor. Gautam Gambhir will be donning the role of a mentor in KKR alongside Head Coach, Chandrakant Pandit.

Rohit Sharma has led Mumbai Indians to 5 titles

Rohit Sharma has been a legendary figure in the Mumbai squad and has led them to IPL titles in IPL 2013, IPL 2015, IPL 2017, IPL 2019 and IPL 2020. He is the 2nd-most successful captain in the IPL and has notched up 87 wins as a captain.

Only MS Dhoni is higher up in the pecking order and has won 133 matches in the 226 matches he has captained in the cash-rich and lucrative league.
