CSK was recently involved in a cricketing battle with Kings XI Punjab. And, Gayle is the part of Kings in the ongoing T20 tournament. In that game after Chennai Super Kings won the match, MS Dhoni greeted Gayle in a funny gesture. He opted latter’s style of walking. Meanwhile, the Universe Boss was also happy to meet the former Indian skipper.

Coming onto that match, KXIP posted a respectable total of 178 runs in stipulated 20 overs. KL Rahul scored 63 runs off 52 balls, Nicholas Pooran played a quick knock of 33 runs off 17 balls. But, CSK chased down the target in 17.4 overs. There opener Shane Watson and Faf du Plessis stiched a record-breaking partnership of 181 runs that helped CSK in grabbing two important points.

It is known that Kings XI Punjab is having a tough season as a team. They have lost three out of their four games in IPL 2020. And, Chris Gayle is yet to make his first appearance in this season. However, after suffering a humiliating, KXIP’s team management will look to give a chance to the Universe Boss, who is reckoned as the best batsman of the shorter format.
