All the eight franchises have announced their retained players by releasing some of their star players. Now, Aakash Chopra has come up with an opinion that a former RCB player is likely to bag a big price if the two new franchises didn’t pick him.
Yuzvendra Chahal is one of the top spinners of the Indian Premier League. He is one of the leading wicket-takers of the tournament with 139 wickets. The Haryana-born spinner was released by RCB ahead of the mega-auction and retained Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, Mohammed Siraj.

Recently, Aakash Chopra opined that Yuzvendra Chahal will be the player to watch out for in the upcoming mega-auction if Lucknow and Ahmedabad leave him. The former Indian cricketer asserted that Chahal is not getting the respect he has earned in past few years. As per him, Chahal is a world-class bowler.
“He is not getting his due, let’s be very very honest. The standard of which he is a bowler, I feel he should be treated better. RCB has not retained him in the IPL,” Chopra said in a YouTube video on his channel.
“In my opinion, either he will go already in the draft, probably towards Team Ahmedabad. If he doesn’t go, he will be sold very expensively.”
“He has picked up wickets in every match and has been economical in every match. He has been very very good.”
