IND vs BAN Injury

After three players were confirmed to miss the third and final ODI of the series, injuries continued to complicate India’s tour of Bangladesh. When captain Rohit Sharma and pacer Deepak Chahar got injured during the second One-Day International against Bangladesh, it dealt a serious blow to the Indian cricket squad.

Rahul Dravid, the head coach, stated that despite the two coming out to bat late in the game, neither of them will be available for the third ODI against Bangladesh. Kuldeep Sen, who was injured and missed the second ODI as well, will not play in the third and final ODI of the series.

Struggling with a few injuries

Dravid announced the trio’s elimination from the ODI series during the news conference that followed the game. He also disclosed that Rohit would return to Mumbai to see a doctor about his condition. The participation of the captain in the upcoming Test series against Bangladesh won’t be confirmed until a thorough analysis has been completed.

“We are struggling with a few injuries as well which is not ideal and not easy for us. I think Deepak and Rohit will certainly miss the next match. Kuldeep is also out of the series.

Rohit will fly back to Bombay, consult with an expert to see how it is, and confirm whether he can come back for the Test series or not.  It is too early to say anything but he will be out for the next match for sure,” he said in the post-match press conference.

India didn’t get off to a good start

Shreyas Iyer made 82 runs and Axar Patel added a fifty, but India was reduced to 207/7 as a result of the Men in Blue’s poor start and frequent wicket losses.

Rohit entered the field at No. 9 for India despite suffering a thumb injury. He amassed an unbeaten 51-run total to extend the game to the last ball. India finally fell short by just five runs. The outcome also allowed Bangladesh to win their home ODI series against India for the second time in a row.

The test series will begin on December 14 (Wednesday) at the same location, with the third and final ODI of the series taking place there on Saturday.
