IPL 2023 MI Pacers

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 auction is approaching fast, and Mumbai Indians (MI) are looking to strengthen their squad with some high-profile signings. When the IPL 2023 Auction takes place in Kochi on December 23, a lot of eyes will be on the Mumbai Indians (MI).

Mumbai Indians (MI) are one of the most successful teams in the Indian Premier League (IPL). They have been the champions of the tournament five times and have a very strong squad. Despite finishing last in the previous season’s standings, the most successful franchise in league history has an excellent core of players to build on going into the next campaign.

In the 2023 IPL auction, MI will be looking to add some quality fast bowlers to their squad. MI has traditionally gone for experienced and proven bowlers in their auctions and this year will be no different. One of the areas they are looking to strengthen is their fast-bowling department.

MI has a strong group of fast bowlers in their current squad, including Jasprit Bumrah, and Jofra Archer. However, they could bolster their ranks further with the addition of a quality fast bowler. Know the top 3 bowlers which might be the target of MI during the IPL 2023 auction.

Sam Curran

Sam Curran IPL

Sam Curran, who won Player of the Tournament honors at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022, is likely to draw high bids at the IPL 2023 Auction. Given that Jasprit Bumrah and Jofra Archer will be making their injury comebacks, Mumbai Indians need an all-rounder and perhaps another death overs bowler. Curran will be a great addition to the MI squad for IPL 2023 as he can be in all the departments bowling, batting, and fielding.

Chris Jordan

Chris Jordan IPL

Chris Jordan has previously played for a number of IPL teams. CSK primarily selected the speedster for IPL 2022 to bowl in the death overs. Jordan was released from the squad because he fell short of the Yellow Army’s expectations. Jordan’s achievements in death overs cannot be disregarded, despite his dismal performance in the previous IPL statistics. He can threaten the opposition with his deadly yorkers in the death-like Bumrah is doing for MI in previous IPLs.

Shivam Mavi

Shivam Mavi IPL

For the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Shivam Mavi had a terrible IPL 2022 season, taking just five wickets at an economy rate of 10.32. With only six matches, the speedster most likely didn’t get enough playing time.

Although Mavi’s progress has been hampered by injuries, the youthful player has nevertheless taken 30 wickets from 32 IPL games and has also had flashes of brilliance in domestic cricket.

Mavi is currently in excellent form, bringing up a six-wicket haul against Bengal in the current Ranji Trophy match. Given his raw velocity and the ability to develop into a top-tier bowler, he is likely to be on the wish lists of Mumbai Indians during the IPL 2023 auction.
