In order to get Avesh Khan for the 2022 season, the Lucknow franchise broke the bank in their debut season. The quick bowler set a league record for the most expensive uncapped player purchase with Rs 10 crore. It was one of the biggest cricket stories of the day, although his price was hardly shocking given how well he had done in the 2021 season, taking 24 wickets in 16 games.

He also produced well for his hefty price in the 2022 campaign. The right-arm bowler was able to grab 18 wickets in 13 games, demonstrating that his previous season was not an anomaly.

Krishnappa Gowtham: INR 9.25 crores

Everyone was shocked when CSK paid Rs 9.25 for the uncapped off-spin all-rounder Krishnappa Gowtham at the super auction. Since the spinner only appeared in two matches in 2020, scoring 42 runs and getting just one wicket, he drastically underperformed. He did not get a chance in any games during the 2021 Indian Premier League season. With the Rajasthan Royals in 2018, he had his most exceptional season, hitting 126 runs and capturing 11 wickets in 15 games.

Shahrukh Khan: INR 9 Crore

The Baroda youngster became the fourth most expensive uncapped player in IPL history when debutant Gujarat broke the bank to spend Rs 9 Crore for him.
