Meanwhile, Kolkata Knight Riders also bought their star player Pat Cummins at a cut price of INR 7 Crores. Australian pacer Pat Cummins was earlier bought by the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for a whopping INR 15.50 crore at the 2020 IPL auction.

KKR played a smart move not retaining the star Aussie cricketer and got him back by saving more than 8.50 Crores.

Shreyas Iyer is currently with Team India and gearing up for the T20I series against West Indies that is going to start from 16th Feb at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
