KL Rahul, who was recently announced as the skipper of Lucknow Supergiants hints on his franchise plan for the IPL 2022 mega-auction. The right-handed batsman was full of praise for Kagiso Rabada and Marco Jensen. And, the words coming from him make it clear that Supergiants will look to go all-out in the player’s auction on February 12 when their name comes out of the basket.

Kagiso Rabada is a well-experienced Proteas pacer, who consistently bowls at a pace of around 145 km/hr. The pacer has played for DC in the past seasons and did extremely well for his team. He was at his serious best in the Test series against India. On the other hand, Marco Jensen, who hogged the spotlight for his impressive pace and swing against India in the red-ball series is looked down as the next big thing in international cricket.

KL Rahul in an interview said that Rabada is one of the key players in IPL. As per him, any team would like to add his services in the side. He added that no team will like to miss out on a pacer, who can easily bowl around 145 km/hr with price length.

“We have seen Rabada being a key bowler for the Delhi Capitals and played a huge part in their success. Every team would want a player like Kagiso Rabada. Come on, he bowls over 145kph and is a very smart cricketer. Everyone would want someone like that,” said Rahul about the South African pace spearhead.

KL Rahul also cherished the time playing against Marco Jensen in the Test series. He said that the young Proteas pcaer has played few games for Mumbai Indians but he is yet to establish himself in the IPL. But, the Indian skipper feels that Jensen has it all to big next big thing in international cricket.

“Marco Jansen played a few games for Mumbai Indians but he has come of his own now. He had a really good series with the red ball and that makes a little bit of a difference with how people see him. He is someone who will do really well in international cricket with the red ball. We all spoke about it after the series as well that he is going to be the next big thing in international cricket,” said Rahul.
