Oshada Fernando scored a heart-warming 50 runs on the day of his debut in the international Pak vs SL T20. Pakistan had to face defeat in this match by 13 runs as Wanindu Hasaranga showed extraordinary excellence as a bowler. Sri Lanka did a whitewash in this match which made history in international cricket.

Pakistan was the hosting team and the tourists beat then to get their first bilateral Twenty20 series. They went on further to whitewash the top-ranked side with a 3-0 win on Wednesday in Lahore.

Oshada scored a blistering 78 runs out of 48 balls and was not out. The Sri Lankan side bludgeoned a 147-run challenge for the opponent team after winning the toss. Mohammad Amir was the best bowler in this match at the Gaddafi Stadium who took 3 wickets and gave away only 27 runs.

In reply to this score the hosting side could get 133 for a fall of 6 wickets. Pakistan might have later realized that leaving out Umar Akmal, Ahmed Shehzad and Mohammad Hasnain together in this series was a mistake. Haris Sohail had scored a half-century supported by Kumara who got 24 and Hasaranga who added 21 runs to the scoreboard. But all this went to vain as Sri Lanka got over it and scored a winning 147.

Amir tried two times during the powerplay to put Sri Lanka in trouble when they were 3 down on 30 by getting rid of Sadeera Samarawickrama, Danushka Gunathilaka, and Bhanuka Rajapaksa. Angelo Perera also delivered only 13 runs before he got run out.But Oshada Fernando took up the responsibility in his debut match. He played with Dasun Shanaka the new captain of the winning side. He got his quick 50 for only 33 balls.

Both Shanaka and Oshada got dropped off simultaneously in one over delivered by Wahab Riaz. After this Oshada left no chance to hit hard for sixes. Later Wahad got the skipper through Fakhar Zaman and further Amir joined in to get a wicket and therefore restricted the total run put forward by Sri Lanka. The batting was also not up to the mark and this lead to the defeat of Pakistan in this PAK Vs SL match
