Bowling-allrounder Shahbaz Ahmed is one of the most improved cricketers presently in India. After performing exceedingly well in the domestic arena for Bengal and for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL), Ahmed received his maiden call-up to the national team.

The left-arm spinner made his debut for India in the ODI series against South Africa and recently played in the ODI series against Bangladesh. So far, Ahmed has played 3 ODIs and has bagged 3 wickets. He is playing for Bengal in the Ranji Trophy 2022.

Agarwal will be hoping to earn a national team call-up with some splendid performances in this season’s Ranji Trophy.

3. Ajinkya Rahane (Mumbai)

Out-of-favor batter Ajinkya Rahane has had a hard few months to swallow. He was dropped from the Indian test team after some dismal performances. Rahane was previously India’s vice-captain in the Test format and led India to its historic victory Down Under in 2020-21 during the absence of Virat Kohli.

A good season with Mumbai in the ongoing Ranji Trophy and he could reclaim his lost position in the Indian test side.
