Ajinkya Rahane seemed to be in his element during the ongoing Ranji Trophy 2022-23 clash between Mumbai and Hyderabad. The skipper of Mumbai smashed a brilliant century during the 1st innings of Mumbai and is still unbeaten. His overnight score is 139* and he looks all set to get a bigger score under his belt.
Mumbai is presently batting at 457-3 at the end of Day 1. This humongous total was possible because of a compact knock of 162(195) by southpaw Yashasvi Jaiswal. He looked extremely effortless while playing the shots and scored 27 boundaries and 1 six. Jaiswal is in some serious form and is a serious talent.
Suryakumar Yadav too chipped in with a blistering knock of 90 runs off just 80 deliveries. The 32-year-old cricketer is in the form of his life and is enjoying a rich vein of form with the willow.

Mumbai, led by skipper Ajinkya Rahane won their first Ranji Trophy 2022-23 game against Andhra Pradesh by 9 wickets. Rahane scored 44(104) in the match in the only innings he played in. Mumbai was extremely clinical and registered a confidence-boosting win against their Andhra Pradesh counterparts.
In this match against Hyderabad, Mumbai is well set at 457-3. They would be hoping to extend the lead to some extent and rely on their bowlers to conjure magic. We might well see an innings victory from the Mumbai team, captained by Ajinkya Rahane.
