Watch: “Prime” KL Rahul batting in the nets, Bad News for South Africa Cricket Team

India is set to travel to South Africa for playing 3 Tests and as many ODIs. And, KL Rahul, the star Indian opener has given a sneak peek of his preparations for the upcoming series. The video has got viral on social media and received lots of appreciation from every corner.

Team India has already suffered a big blow in the name of Rohit Sharma. The star opener suffered a hamstring injury during a practice session and is ruled out from the Test series. Earlier, during the New Zealand tour also Nagpur-born player had injured his hamstring, and once again he is in the spotlight due to the same reason.

There is no update if he will play in the three-match ODI series against Proteas or not. And, if he is not available then KL Rahul might get an opportunity to lead Team India in the away country.

KL Rahul has become an indispensable part of Men in Blue due to his consistency with the bat in the limited-overs format. And, he is currently leaving no stone unturned in getting into the grooves for the upcoming South Africa tour.

Rahul, who is set to get an opportunity to play in the Test series in place of Rohit Sharma, shared a clip on social media in which he can be seen showcasing his trademark strokes. But, he looked in his full flow while batting in the nets.

So far, KL Rahul has played 40 Tests, 38 ODIs, and 56 T20Is in which he has managed more than 5000 international runs for Team India. He is currently one of the best openers across the country and will have a big responsibility on his shoulders in the absence of Rohit Sharma.
