However, Sabbineni Meghana has been a solid opener in the ranks of Gujarat Giants.

Sabbineni Meghana was born in Krishna, Andhra Pradesh and she is 26 years of age.

She plays for Andhra Pradesh and the South Zone in the domestic circuit for India.

Meghana has a sister named Geethika Sabbineni and a brother-in-law named Vivek Vanapalli.

Meghana did her schooling from DAV Public School in Vijayawada and also has a bachelor of science degree.

Her father is a divisional engineer at the NTPC Thermal Power Station. On the other hand, Sabbineni Meghana’s mother is a homemaker.

She has so far played 20 international games

Sabbineni Meghana has represented India in 20 games. The right-handed batter has played 17 T20Is and has mustered 258 runs.

She has hit one 50 in her T20I career. On the other hand, in the ODI format, Meghana has played 3 games for India.

Meghana made her international debut in the ODI format in 2022 against New Zealand.

Sabbineni Meghana fired on all cylinders in the 2021-22 edition of the Women’s Senior One Trophy.

She finished as the leading run-getter in the tournament after she amassed 388 runs.

The elegant batter scored 1 century and 2 half-centuries.

Meghana was also part of the Indian side that won the Women’s Asia Cup in 2016.

Definetly one of the rock-solid batters in the Indian team, Sabbineni Meghana can be a key player for India in the future.

She has a lot of experience in the domestic circuit and would be an integral part of the Indian cricket team in the future.

She was snapped up at her base price of Rs. 30 lakhs by Gujarat Giants in the WPL 2023 auctions.
