AB de Villiers is one of the top-rated stars in cricket. Although, he has bid adieu to international cricket back in 2018. But, there is still a lot of cricket left in him. There have been speculations for long that AB de Villiers might come out to his retirement and once again play for South Africa. In an interview, the former Proteas player said that he is waiting for a discussion with the head coach Mark Boucher.

AB de Villiers is in red-hot form with the bat in IPL 2021. He has smashed 125 runs in three games at a strike rate pf of 190.00. Recently, he played a blistering knock of 76 runs in just 34 balls studded with nine boundaries and three sixes.

Post-match, AB de Villiers was quizzed on his international comeback. To which RCB batsman replied that it will be a great thing if he plays again for South Africa. As per him, he is yet to have a serious discussion with Mark Boucher.

“We have been talking about it. Already last year he asked me if I would be interested and I said ‘absolutely’,” AB de Villiers said as quoted by thesouthafrican.com

“Coming into the IPL we will look at where we are with regards to my form, my fitness. If I can slot in there, it will be fantastic for all these things to fall into place.

“I am waiting for Boucher towards the end of IPL and then we will plan accordingly.”
