The legendary Indian cricketer MS Dhoni made news once more when a video of him signing an autograph for a fan on the street went viral on social media.
The most recent online video going viral is evidence of how much Dhoni is still adored in India even though he is no longer playing for his nation. He may have retired from international cricket in 2020, but his charisma will never fade. The former Indian captain still plays cricket in the IPL, though.
Since the legendary wicketkeeper-batsman can only be seen in action during the IPL, fans never pass up the chance to see the legendary cricketer in person and get autographs whenever they can. One such fan once had the rare opportunity of a lifetime when he saw MSD on the street and asked for an autograph for his t-shirt.
A video of the former Indian captain autographing a fan’s request has gone viral on the internet. Dhoni is seen in the video signing an autograph for a fan on the back of his shirt. Unsurprisingly, the lucky recipient seemed overjoyed after receiving Dhoni’s autograph. The video quickly became popular online.
“A lucky fan’s keepsake for life! Goals, isn’t it,” read the caption of the post.

Dhoni will be seen in action in IPL
Dhoni last played in a competitive cricket match on May 20 against Rajasthan Royals during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. In the match, the skipper of the Chennai Super Kings hit 26 runs off 28 balls, helping his team reach 150. However, the IPL champions from the first season ultimately won the match by a margin of five wickets.
Notably, Dhoni’s next appearance will be in the forthcoming IPL 2023, leading the Chennai Super Kings (CSK). The IPL 2023 mini-auction will take place in Kochi on December 23, and the CSK captain is now busy planning plans for it.
Dwayne Bravo, Robin Uthappa, Adam Milne, Hari Nishaanth, Chris Jordan, Bhagath Varma, KM Asif, and Narayan Jagadeesan have been released by the Chennai team management before the IPL 2023 auction. Prior to the IPL 2023 auction, Chennai still has Rs 20.45 crore in its purse to bid for players.
