Watch: David Warner Slams 100 In The 100th Test, Entered In Home Of New Records

Date:

David Warner, who just became a member of the 100-Test club, finally reached the century mark during Tuesday’s test between Australia and South Africa. Warner responded to recent criticism in fine fashion by smashing his 25th Test tonne and 45th international hundred. His first Test century since January 2020 is this one.

With a thrilling inning against South Africa at the MCG, David Warner broke an almost three-year Test century drought to become the 10th player in Test history to make a century in his 100th match.

He became the second Australian to do so after Ricky Ponting, and entered a distinguished company of players by scoring his 25th Test century. In addition, Warner became the eighth Australian to reach 8000 Test runs throughout the course of his innings and only the second player, after Gordon Greenidge, to make centuries in both his 100th ODI and 100th Test.
