Murali Vijay, a former Indian opener, has declared his retirement from all international cricket competitions. On social media, he wrote about it and thanked everyone who had helped him along the way. On Monday, January 30, Vijay posted a lengthy thank-you statement on Twitter for everyone who had supported him.
Murali Vijay hasn’t participated in an international game in more than four years. Vijay last participated for India in a Test match against Australia in December 2018. Since 2015, Vijay hasn’t participated in an ODI or T20 match, and his IPL career is practically over. Vijay didn’t participate in an IPL game until September 2020.
In the past, Vijay was a cornerstone in the Indian Test batting order. His Test performance is something to remember. In 61 Test matches for India, he has amassed 3982 runs at an average of 38.39. He has 12 Test hundreds and 15 half-centuries to his credit.
