The Lucknow Warriors is the name of the Lucknow Women’s Premier League, WPL 2023 team owned by Capri Global. The franchise, which was purchased for 757 Cr, will be based in Lucknow. With franchises in the PKL, Kho Kho League, and the ILt20, Capri’s position in sports across the globe is growing.
Capri Global revealed the name of their most recent sporting endeavor in a statement on Sunday. With this being the company’s fourth brand, it continues to maintain a significant presence across numerous sports. Bengal Warriors of the PKL, Rajasthan Warriors of the Kho Kho, and Sharjah Warriors of the ILT20 are all owned by Capri Global. The most recent addition to their roster is ‘Lucknow Warriors’.
Last year, Capri competed for an IPL team but was defeated by CVC Capital and the RPSG group. This time, the investors were adamant and made a proposal of Rs 757 crore for the Lucknow franchise.

He added, “This association with WPL has been strategic in achieving our vision of encouraging Sports and establishing a deeper connection with our stakeholders and customers. Given its history in India, we believe cricket is the most natural way to advance that vision.”
