After their opening games, two Indian Super League (ISL) teams in the form of East Bengal FC and Hyderabad FC will be crossing swords with each other in this Super Cup 2023 game. The match will be played at the Payyanad Stadium and is slated to begin from 8:30 PM (IST).
East Bengal FC are coming on the back of a 1-1 draw with Odisha FC in their previous game. The inability to hold on to a lead once again hampered their chances of winning the game. Notably, midfielder Mobashir Rahman had scored a goal but it was neutralised by Nandhakumar Sekar of the Juggernauts.
On the other hand, the ISL 2021-22 winners had won their previous game against Aizawl FC. The score-line read 2-1 in favour of the Nizams. Joel Chianese and Joao Victor had scored the goals for the Manolo Marquez’s side.
East Bengal FC have had an erratic season in ISL 2022-23 and they would be hoping to change their fortunes around. They also have never defeated Hyderabad FC and would be looking to register their maiden victory through this game.
