Warhammer 40,000 is Games Workshop’s most well-known science fiction universe where the Imperium of Mankind battles against Orks, Eldar, Necrons, Tyranids, and the very forces of Chaos.
The Warhammer 40K series started out as a tabletop miniatures game. It has now grown to include board games, books, and video games.
On May 2, a brand-new Warhammer 40,000 event will begin for World of Tanks Modern Armour players on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
This event pits players against Orks and the forces of Chaos.
There are five new tanks, two new 3D Hero Commanders with special voices, and a community event accessible.
World of Tanks Console users will have the chance to purchase Warhammer 40000-themed items during the community event.
World of Tanks – New Tanks
As a part of the Warhammer 40,000 event, five new tanks will be accessible:
- The Nemesis tank destroyer
- The Teefbreaka light tank
- The Reaper’s Scythe medium tank
- The Ignis Purgatio medium tank
- The console-exclusive Leman Russ heavy tank
Andy Dorizas, Art Director for World of Tanks Modern Armour, led the endeavour to accurately recreate these tanks for a battlefield in the 20th century.
“We painstakingly studied the physical tank so it would be spot-on accurate,” Dorizas said. “Then we had artists translate our concepts into usable geometry for our game.
The Commanders
Two new 3D Hero Commanders, Volusad Thassius of the Ultramarines and Patricia Laserian of the Sisters of Battle, are battling in the cause of the Emperor and are available to players throughout the event.
All of this content is a part of Gladiators, the current epic season of World of Tanks Modern Armour.
It is available in conjunction with a two-part community event where participants can choose to join forces with either the Space Marines or the Sisters of Battle to fight first the Orks and later the Chaos agents.
