The first release candidate of Minecraft is now available. This is the last step before a major update.
Mojang starts with snapshots, betas, and previews before moving on to pre-releases (which have already been available for some time) and release candidates.
This completes Minecraft 1.20 since it is the first and there are just a few days left until the update.
Although it is not a significant update, it does include bug fixes that might enhance user experience in the Minecraft 1.20 version.
Minecraft 1.20 Release Candidate 1
The most recent modification to the game’s code is minor. There are just two bugs that were troubling gamers that have been fixed.
- Knowledge books may once again be arranged on chiselled bookcases as they were intended to be.
- Insufficient light no longer causes the pitcher plant to shatter and float.
Check the Mojang website for any bugs that are still present in the release candidate and provide feedback so they might perhaps be fixed before the official release of Minecraft 1.20 on Wednesday.
According to The Java Team’s website,
“We are now releasing the first, and hopefully only, release-candidate for 1.20, containing two bug fixes. If all goes well, no further changes will be made before the full release of Minecraft 1.20 on Wednesday next week.”
The Trails & Tales update may have reached its final release candidate. It will arrive in a week, so there is cause for celebration.
How to download the update
Here’s how players of the Java Edition of Minecraft may get into the most recent update:
- On your computer, launch the Minecraft Launcher.
- To access the Installations tab, click the tab.
- Enable snapshots by clicking on the option. If snapshots were still being sent out, you may allow the most recent one. The most recent “snapshot” is the most recent release candidate since they are finished with that stage.
- Return to the Launcher’s Play tab.
- Choose to begin in a new world and go from there.
Keep in mind that these are not the game’s official, finished versions. They may thus have some issues.
Although the development team makes an effort to eliminate each one, not every issue can be avoided. Ensure that you back up worlds because the release candidate may corrupt them.
