The much-awaited Indian domestic cricket season (2023-24) is all set to kick off with the release of the schedule by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
The prestigious Ranji Trophy, the premier first-class competition, will begin on January 5, 2024, marking the beginning of an exciting 70-day cricket extravaganza that will conclude on March 14. The league stage of the Ranji Trophy will come to an end on February 19, making the way for the knockout matches starting on February 23.
Prior to the Ranji Trophy, cricket fans can look forward to the Duleep Trophy, which will be held from June 28 to July 16, followed by the highly competitive Deodhar Trophy scheduled from July 24 to August 4.
Additionally, the traditional Irani Cup, featuring the champions of the Ranji Trophy (Saurashtra) and the Rest of India team, is set to take place from October 1 to October 5.
As per the released domestic schedule, the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 tournament, known for its fast-paced action, will be held from October 16 to November 6. This will be followed by the Vijay Hazare Trophy, a thrilling 50-over tournament, which is scheduled to take place from November 23 to December 15.
