On September 29, Garena announced that the Free Fire World Series (FFWS) 2023 would have a total prize pool of $1 million, or precisely half as much as the previous competition.
The much-awaited event will take place from November 10 to November 26 in three stages. In all, 18 teams from eight regions will participate in this illustrious competition.
Three teams each from Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Brazil, and LATAM will compete in the World Series. Additionally, three teams from MEA, Pakistan, and MPCS will take part.
A teaser for the FFWS 2023 was just revealed on the official Free Fire Esports Instagram account with the caption:
“The countdown to FFWS 2023 has begun! 3 weeks, 18 teams, 8 regions, but only 1 champion – the ultimate showdown is almost here. Remember, it’s time to “Own the Glory”! Stay tuned for more updates!”
Free Fire World Series (FFWS) 2023
There will be three distinct rounds in the next Free Fire World Series: Knockout, Point Rush, and the Grand Final. Thailand will once again serve as the competition’s host country.
November 10 – 19: Knockout
The Knockout phase, which runs from November 10 through November 19, will include 18 teams.
Three groupings will be created from these squads. These groups will play each other in a round-robin style over the course of 36 games spread over six matchdays.
The top 12 teams advance to the next round, while the remaining teams are eliminated.
November 24 and 25 – Point Rush
This year, the FFWS will include this stage for the first time. Over the course of two days, 12 matches will be held in total.
In this stage of the competition, there won’t be any eliminations. The 12 teams from the Knockout will compete here for advantage points as a result of this as well.
November 26 – Grand Final
The Grand Final, which consists of six matches, will have a total of 12 teams competing. The 2023 Free Fire World Series winners will be determined by the team with the most points.
