ISL 2022-23: Odisha FC Extend Carlos Delgado’s Contract Till 2024

Odisha FC has bolstered their defensive set-up for one more season as they have extended the contract of their skipper and center-back, Carlos Delgado. He joined the club in the Indian Super League (ISL) 2019-20 season and will be here till 2024.

A leader on and off the pitch, Carlos Delgado has been a formidable force in the backline of Odisha FC. He has led the troops valiantly and has contributed to a lot of wins for Odisha FC.

The 32-year-old Spanish defender has so far played in all the games which Odisha FC has played in ISL 2022-23. He has a good reading of the game and his aerial game is extremely good.

His size and speed have given him the advantage in key headers and tackles, and his poise and composure have been an example to his teammates.

It is vital that the Juggernauts retains its core players as it works to develop a future roster. Carlos is a key component of the puzzle in this sense. The squad will benefit greatly from Carlos Delgado’s expertise and leadership, especially as they work to raise their performance levels in the upcoming seasons.

The match will be taking place tomorrow and it will be taking place at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneshwar. We can expect a lot of home team supporters, to throng the stadium in large numbers and extend their support to Odisha FC so that they qualify for the playoffs.
