At the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata, India faced Sri Lanka in the second ODI of the series. The Men in Blue won the first ODI by 67 runs and will be aiming to seal the series in the fifty-over format to begin the year on a positive note.
Sri Lanka won the toss and chose to Bat. Meanwhile, during the 16th over of the innings Sri Lankan batter, Kusal Mendis left Virat Kohli stunned as he took on speedster Umran Malik during Sri Lanka’s do-or-die game of the series.
Mendis got under the short-pitched delivery of Umran and tossed it away over the deep fine leg for a massive six. Even Virat Kohli was so awestruck by the shot that he could hide his shocking reaction. Kohli put the hand on his mouth as he gasped while looking at the ball going into the stands.
