    Aamer Jamal made his name into the records books during the third Test between Australia and Pakistan in Sydney. 

    The young Pakistani all-rounder achieved the extraordinary feat of recording the highest score by a No. 9 batter for Pakistan in Tests on Australian soil.

    The previous record-holder, Wasim Bari, had set the benchmark with a score of 72 runs off 113 deliveries back in 1972, but Jamal surpassed this milestone with an outstanding inning that turned the tide in favor of Pakistan

    Coming in to bat with his team struggling at seven for 220, Aamer Jamal showcased exceptional resilience and stroke play, accumulating a remarkable 82 runs from just 97 deliveries.

    What makes Jamal’s innings even more special is the context in which it unfolded. Pakistan found themselves in a crucial situation at 227/9, and it was Aamer Jamal’s heroics that not only steered them clear of the follow-on but also propelled the team to a competitive first innings total of 313.
