    Perth Scorchers BBL 2023-24

    Perth Scorchers kickstart their Big Bash League (BBL) 2023-24 campaign on 10th December with a match against Melbourne Renegades. They would be coming into this marquee tournament with a weight of expectations and hopes.

    The Scorchers are the defending champions and would be itching to get into the field and successfully defend their title. Notably, they had beaten Brisbane Heat in the high-octane finals of BBL 2023-24 by 5 wickets.

    Perth Scorchers had also topped the points table and there was a lot of coordination among the team players that resulted in them performing well in the league.

    Aaron Hardie finished as the top run-scorer for Perth Scorchers in that competition and he was also the leading run-scorer in the entire BBL 2022-23. He mustered 460 runs in 15 matches and had a fantastic average of 41.81, with a highest score of 90*.

    Josh Inglis too performed with the bat and scored 431 runs in the tournament, thereby finishing as the 2nd-highest run-getter for Perth Scorchers.

    Andrew Tye was the highest wicket-taker for Perth Scorchers, with 26 wickets in his kitty.
