IPL 2023 Auction

The IPL 2023 mini-auction is scheduled to begin on December 23 in Kochi, with around 1,000 players up for grabs. The T20 league franchisees will be able to choose from 714 Indian and 277 foreign players in the IPL mini 2023. If picked, over 700 of these players would be participating in the event for the first time.

The IPL 2023 mini-auction differs from the previously held mega-auction in that the majority of the players were kept by the 10 franchises. There is a minimum of 18 players on each squad and a maximum of 25 players per team.

A maximum of 8 of these players may be foreigners. A total of 163 players, including 50 foreign players, were kept by the 10 teams. With only 12 players from the previous season staying on the team, Sunrisers Hyderabad had the lowest percentage of players retained, while Delhi Capitals had the highest percentage with 20 players.
