On February 9 at the Nagpur venue, India and Australia will play their inaugural Border-Gavaskar Trophy match. The players from both teams India and Australia put in a lot of effort before the series began and are doing everything in their power to help their teams win.
However, KL Rahul, the finest batter on the Indian team, took a break from the drills and visited a temple in Nagpur in the meantime.
Prior to this series, Virat Kohli, the previous captain of Team India and a running machine, traveled to Uttarakhand to visit Dharamshala.
KL Rahul visited Sai Baba
KL Rahul visited the well-known Sai Baba Mandir before the opening Test match between India and Australia in Nagpur.
Before the first Test, which will be played on Thursday, the Test vice-captain perfected the casual look and prayed to God (February 9).
Rahul has to make a great impact in these four Test matches badly because he was unable to score runs against Bangladesh.
The right-hand batter failed to get a single fifty in two Test matches and failed to get India off to a strong start. Rahul would be trying to lock up the opening place for the Australia series while Shubman Gill was waiting for the chance to seize it.
KL Rahul’s performance against the Australian team
After missing the limited-overs series against New Zealand to get married to Bollywood actress Athiya Shetty, Team India vice-captain KL Rahul is making a comeback for the four-match Test series against Australia that starts on Thursday (February 9) with the first Test.
Rahul, who has been out of form following a dismal series against Bangladesh, has great records against Australia.
KL Rahul, the top opener for Squad India, has participated in 9 Test matches thus far against the Australian team, scoring 580 runs in 18 innings. He has slammed one century and six half-centuries during this.
Who will be India’s wicketkeeper?
KL Rahul may be expected to keep wickets now that Rishabh Pant has been ruled out of the Test series against Australia.
Ishan Kishan or KS Bharat, both expert wicketkeepers, appear to be the most likely candidates to don the gloves, though.
India’s Test squad for the first two Tests against Australia:
