Faf Du Plessis will be leading the Joburg Super Kings side in the SA20 League 2024. The Super Kings had a good season in the previous edition of this tournament but failed to cross the semi-final hurdle.
This time around, they would be oozing with confidence and would be itching to go out there on the field and prove a point. Faf Du Plessis will have to lead from the front and take charge of the proceedings in the SA20 League.
He has plenty of experience of leading a T20 side and would be looking to maximise and cash in on those oodles of experience.

1. Faf Du Plessis is extremely fit for his age
At the age of 39 years, Faf Du Plessis is easily one of the fittest cricketers. His incredible fitness levels have contributed to his exemplary performances on the field. Du Plessis can run better, can take catches better and can bat for longer in the middle.
He looks extremely athletic and this can power him to once again perform well for Joburg Super Kings in the SA20 League 2024.
2. Performed well in the previous season
Faf Du Plessis had finished as the second-highest run-getter of the SA20 League 2023 and the highest run-getter of the Joburg Super Kings. He scored 369 runs in 10 innings and had a good average of 41.00.
His previous performance would give him a lot of confidence and would make the other batters in the Super Kings, heave a sigh of relief. We believe that Faf Du Plessis will once again be one of the top performers of this competition in this edition.
3. Had a brilliant IPL 2023 season
Despite not playing international cricket as he has retired from it, Faf Du Plessis has been making a mark across the globe. Du Plessis had scored 730 runs in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 season and had a staggering average of 56.15.
Alongside Virat Kohli, Du Plessis formed a solid bond at the top-order for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). He had also finished as the top run-getter for the Bangalore franchise and this performance will inject a lot of confidence into his mindset ahead of the SA20 League 2024.
