After the doubleheader on Saturday, there was a change in the WPL 2023 points standings.
On that same day, there were two matches: MI vs UPW and GG vs RCB.
Mumbai Indians, who had already solidified their position in the top, suffered their first loss of the tournament, while RCB won their game to make it two wins in a row.
As per the recent WPL 2023 results, Mumbai, who became an unbeatable squad in the league, received a defeat from UP Warriorz during their winning streak.
Mumbai could only score 127 runs while batting first. In response, UP was shaken and reeling at 27 for 3.
However, Deepti Sharma and Sophie Ecclestone’s cameo strikes helped UP surpass MI’s total.
The second match had a relatively high score compared to the first one, which had a low scoring. In the game, Gujarat Giants, who batted first, set RCB a target of 189 thanks to Laura Wolvaardt’s 67.
In response, RCB got off to an ideal start thanks to opening stand of 125 runs between captain Smriti Mandhana and Sophie Devine.
Devine, the partner who was more aggressive, was on pace to record a century but fell one run shy of the illustrious total.
During her outstanding 36-ball 99-run innings, Devine smashed 9 fours and 8 sixes.
After just 15.3 overs, RCB quickly outscored GG by 8 wickets. Check complete details on WPL 2023 updated points table, most runs, and wickets.
