BGMI, or Battlegrounds Mobile India, is still banned in the country despite numerous rumours coming up time and again promising the BGMI unban.
This, however, does not seem to reduce the interest BGMI fans have shown in waiting for the BGMI unban.
Fans become enthusiastic when a streamer or influencer talks about the game’s comeback. Shiva Nandy, the CEO and creator of Skyesports and one of the most well-known figures in the Indian gaming scene, published an Instagram story on April 8, 2023.
In this Instagram story, Shiva Nandy spoke about the possible BGMI return date. Keep reading to find out what he had to say.
Shiva Nandy on BGMI unban
Shiva Nandy posted an Instagram story which said:
“I just had a chat with an important person who is not from the gaming industry, but from the (government), and they mentioned that BGMI will be back anytime in April or May 2023. I’m super excited.”
Fans can anticipate that Nandy’s opinions will have some weight as he is a well-known figure in the esports community.
Will BGMI return in April or May 2023?
Recent rumours stated that the Indian government was briefly contemplating lifting the temporary ban on Battlegrounds Mobile India and making some significant adjustments to this game.
For example, BGMI can envision the elimination of blood and gore and a time restriction on the game.
However, these are unsubstantiated rumours regarding the game’s comeback and future adjustments.
Other sources also claim that Krafton would need to modify the game’s servers to comply with the rules.
It’s important to note that Shiva Nandy has frequently posted comments on Battlegrounds Mobile India’s return. It also makes sense for players to wait until Krafton makes a formal announcement regarding the BGMI unban.
