The Cameroon Football Federation was rocked by a major age scandal as 21 U-17 footballers have been banned by the Federation for age fraud. These 21 footballers failed their MRI tests and this proved that they were bluffing about their age.
All these players were a part of the UNIFACC tournament team and now the team is severely affected by this entire process and the lack of their main players.
Cameroon Football Federation President Samuel Eto’o was keen on eradicating age-fraud problems and he had summoned 44 players across different clubs in the summer to check the age-fraud problem.
Age fraud is a very common problem in sports and unless taken action in a stern way, it often leads to bigger problems.
